The Core of Ohr Chodosh
At the center of Ohr Chodosh is a real, ongoing relationship between the Rosh Yeshiva and each bochur. The Rosh Yeshiva, Rav Eliyahu Sonnenschein, is not a distant figure within the yeshiva. He is its center.
He is deeply involved in the daily learning, growth, and direction of each bochur — taking the time to understand who they are, how they think, and what they need in order to develop properly.
Through consistent learning, conversation, and guidance, Rav Sonnenschein helps bochurim clarify their relationship with Torah and Yiddishkeit in a way that is thoughtful, grounded, and personal.

We accept bochurim from 11th grade as well.
